Previous experience:-

Director Mobile services at Microsoft 2007 – 2009 - Launched both client and browse services with network operators, and grew Microsoft's business to become the largest independent full service commercial portal. Delivered 5m new users within 18 months.

VP Data and Content - O2 Telefonica 2001-2007 - Full P& L responsibility for Messaging & Data services, grew new revenues from scratch to £160m in 6 yrs. Developed a series of O2's product and services across both business and consumer segments during this time ensuring that O2 took 50% share of Mobile internet traffic (7m users) and 44% of SMS traffic by 2007 from 25% of connections (pre iPhone) . Managed a team of 45 people with over 150 supplier relationships. Launched the worlds first download music service over GPRS, the UK's first download Video over GPRS and the EMEA's first carrier SMS aggregation business, and O2 advertising (prior to O2 media).
